Climate adaption of wooden-plank wall dwellings in hot humid climate region

- Abstract
A typical house in Chongqing was measured during summer to investigate the condition of indoor thermal comfort and climate adaption of wooden-plank wall dwellings in Chongqing. According to the characteristics of the local buildings and the particularity of local residents' living habit, the data of the field measurement was analyzed and the thermal environment was evaluated with APMV. The results showed that the indoor thermal comfort of wooden-plank wall dwellings in summer was improved mainly by natural ventilation and 65 percent of the typical day belong to category Ⅱ. In terms of the creation of thermal environment, traditional wooden-plank wall dwellings worked in concert with the local regional climate, and had a good adaption.
